Rhudaur Northman Mercenary | New LOTR Mithril miniature 2016
Mithril Miniatures released in January 2016 last January's winning idea, submitted by 'orc', a Fellowship member.
Rhudaur was the perfect land for mercenaries as law and order had broken down there, governorship was non existent and there was a steady diet of conflict between other states like Arthedain and Cardolan against the evils of the Witch-king. Only the bravest or most fortunate survived in such chaos as loyalties shifted like the tides.
This 32mm scale metal miniature is primed and will require a little assembly.

New Mithril Releases | Thorin and Roac & Angbor of Lamedon metal figures available in December 2015.
Mithril Miniatures has released in December 2015 two more winning ideas from their Fellowship club. These ideas were suggested by and voted on by members of that club last year.
The first one is Thorin and Roac. Roac is an intelligent Raven that acted as an intelligence gathering agent for the Dwarves and especially Thorin Oakenshield.
The second release is Angbor of Lamedon, a Lord of one of Gondor's provinces. He lead his small army against the landing parties of Corsairs during the War of the Ring until releaved by Aragorn with his army of dead. He then brought his forces to the capital, Minas Tirith, to assist in resisting the besieging Mordorian armies.
Both of these fine miniatures were designed by Chris Tubb and will require a small amount of assembly. They are pre-primed.

New Release | 3 Battle of Waterloo leaders as 25mm scale primed metal figures
This inspired them to produce these and make them available to allow other wargamers or historical diorama builders to have these legendary men as part of their vision.
The three leaders are as follows: Prussian Field Marshal Blücher, French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and the Allied British Commander, Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington.
These three figures are mounted and pre-primed so as soon as you get them you can paint them. The rider and horse are not glued or cast together to allow for an easier time in painting all the details before final assembly.
Prince August has also catered for those collectors that do not want to paint the figures themselves and have options where a customer can choose whether they want a hand painted figure, antique finished figure or the default primed figure. A simple tick box makes this selection a snap.
For the next 4 days or so Prince August is also giving the primed figures away for FREE when someone purchases one of their Army Packs. For each army pack chosen there is an option to select ONE leader as well. An army pack is a great bundle deal that includes metal with a selection of moulds at a low price that allows you to cast an army at unbeatable rates.
This offer expires at noon on October 13th 2015 UTC+1.

New Mithril Release | Lord Golasgil of Anfalas
![]() |
| Golasgil, Lord of Anfalas.
Last years Fellowship August winner is finally released. This highly detailed mounted Gondorian Lord is Golasgil, one of the lesser known lords of Gondor, who lead an army to aid his capital of Minas Tirith during the War of the Ring. His forces were defeated in the Battle of Plennor Fields but it is believed that he survived that encounter as no record is provided of his death. Anfalas is one of the poorer regions and thus his army largely consisted of hunters and farmers rather than warriors, which unsurprisingly resulted in their destruction when facing crazed and fanatical Mordorian Orcs and their allies.
The fellowship member responsible for submitting this fine idea is 'mcdsean'. This was his first victory and first idea, although it took several tries to win the day.
This figure is 32mm scale, and is primed but it will require assembly before painting.

New Mithril Release | Eldacar in combat with Castamir
![]() |
| Eldacar in combat with Castamir. |
Eldacar was the twenty-first king of
Gondor, and during his turbulent reign a civil war broke out in the
southern realm, which is known in the annals as the Kin-strife. Led by
Castamir, Gondor’s captain of ships, the rebels besieged
Eldacar’s capital which in those days was Osgiliath. Their chief grievance was
that Eldacar had married a Northmen wife and had, in their eyes, diluted
the purity of Dunedain blood. Initially driven out of Osgiliath and forced to
take refuge in in Rhovanion, Eldacar mustered his forces and marched south once
more to confront the rebels. At a great battle at the crossings of Erui in
1447TA. Eldacar won the day and slew Castamir with his own hand, thus
re-establishing the legitimate line of Gondor.
Mithril Miniatures released this double figure set in September 2015. It was the winning idea from July 2014. These miniatures are 32mm scale metal figures that have a primer added.

New Russian Army Moulds from the Seven Years War range on Prince August in July 2015
Prince August previously released the Hungarian regiments from the Austrian Army in late 2014, and due to a large amount of renovation of their factory, had a hiatus on new releases. But now that the work has largely finished they are back making new and exciting soldier moulds once again.
This time they are releasing four new moulds from the Russian Army, with Summer and Winter Uniforms. As with the previous releases they all have interchangeable heads so even with four moulds, there is a wide scope for creativity. These new moulds include Grenadiers and Musketeers and have the usual Standard Bearers, Drummers, NCO's and Officers included.
For those not familiar with the series, these are 40mm scale figures that customers can cast hundreds of times at home using these black rubber moulds. Full assembly and painting guides are included and there is historical data detailing the type of army setup was popular for each faction. You can download most of these as pdfs from the website product pages.
The Seven Years' War was a mid 18th Century worldwide conflict, perhaps the most internationally fought war to date in human history. So far Prince August has included the Prussians, Austrians, Hungarian regiments in the Austrian army and, as of July 2015, the Russians.
Future expansions will include cavalry and artillery.
